McNary Precipitron Replacement

This $3.2 Million project consisted of upgrading the dams primary powerhouse cooling and pressurizing system with a larger fan motor, more cooling capacity by the use of large hydronic stainless steel coils, and freeze protection modes. In order to perform this work, Northbank provided five 20,000 CFM temporary air handling units to replace the main fans output while it was being upgraded and maintain pressurization of the powerhouse. Northbank also installed three new fan coil units within the dam’s transformer gallery to stabilize the temperatures during the hot months. Construction was completed in February 2020.
